Hi everyone,

Does anyone know the PHEV nose weight limit?
I know the max braked towing weight is 1350kg for the PHEV, but I cannot find anything about the nose weight limit.

Many thanks.

Perfect! Thanks.
Minimum looks like 100kg.

Am I missing something, but surely that noseweight 'limit' is a maximum ( not to exceed ) and not a minimum value.

When I used to tow caravans there was also a limit on the nose of the caravan.

I've always found figures for noseweight limits hard to come by.
Because there are several different versions of the Tucson I'd be inclined to contact Hyundai Technical, give them your reg no and get a specific figure.
I have a feeling that 100kgs covers all variations of the Tucson, but I do know that with other manufacturers e.g. Skoda, the noseweight figure is model specific e.g. the limit on a 7 seater suv was less than a 5 seater.
You have a heavy battery under the rear seat which may or may not affect the noseweight limit.

But shirley there would be a min and max for stability reasons. We've all seen small empty trailers bouncing along, Similarly if something bigger like a caravan had too much or too little weight on the drawbar then stability would be compromised?

Indeed Phil and there are rules of thumb out there for calculating noseweights. Also stuff about how to load caravans correctly etc etc. I towed for many years but never took noseweights to the max of the car/van but I would say I was roughly within 10%.
