Hi everyone. Just joined! I've Just bought a 22 plate Tucson Ultimate. It didnt come with Tech pack. If i bought some salvaged wing mirrors that have the cameras and puddle lights, does anyone know whether these will work with existing Ultimate wiring? As in will the puddle lights work, and more importantly, will the Blind spot cameras come on the dashboard display, and will the camera view on the main central screen show the side camera views? Thanks

Will need both Hardware & software, so my guess is no it won't work. Have a chat with a Hyundai techie / sparkie (avoid sales bods). Good luck 👍

I can't imagine anyone here knowing that, but as I see it you have two chances.
For ease of use in the factory, I'd guess that most versions of UK cars come with the same wiring loom (old term) which is capable of running different extras that could be fitted to the car.
Or, each individual model has a wiring loom specific to that car, which would be bad news for you.
I would imagine though, and this is speculation based on having a camera fitted to a previous car (Skoda), even if your loom will accept the extras you want to fit, they will possibly need coding into the electronic management system by your dealer and/or the factory.

Probably of no help in your case, but when I was contemplating having a tow bar fitted, I was led to believe there would be no existing port into which the wiring would plug in to. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the tow bar wiring just plugged in to an existing socket behind a boot panel.

Ask to speak to the head tech at the dealer, but don't get your hopes up. Many techs (mechanics) are not programmed to know everything nowadays and if you ask a question that isn't on their crib sheet, you're stuffed ! My experience is that sometimes we know more than they do. That applies to front of house service personel as well.
