A bit of confusion here with the spec which maybe can be clarified. I didn't opt for the Smart Sense option when I ordered my recently delivered Premium Hybrid but assumed, from the brochure, that the Forward Collision Assist was a feature of that particular model nonetheless (according to the asterisk note). Checking with the dealer but right from the start they have been a little vague about the spec and just pointed me to the brochure so it would be useful to have a second opinion regarding this feature, or lack of it. Very pleased with the car overall, nice drive and very comfortable.

Yes from the brochure I would think that you do have it. The asterisk appears to indicate that only the DCT, hybrid and Plug-in hybrids have it, but as you have a hybrid it should all be there.

Thanks for checking, I was pretty sure that was the case. I'm waiting to hear from the dealer and will press them for reason why it does not appear to be activated.

Have you searched for it via the infotainment system? If available on your model, a search there should reveal it.

My manual Premium doesn't have it or the adaptive cruise control. As yours is an auto then it should.

Are you sure your manual doesn't have it? I may be thinking of a different system but my Premium manual has alerted me a couple of times to a potential collision (false positive both times!) but does the system in question above go a step further?

Well, I was following the wife last night and allowed the cruise control to get me very close to her and nothing happened.... Assumed it would if fitted...

I'll check out the infotainment system as suggested, appreciate the tip. No response from the dealership as yet, but no surprise there. The adaptive cruise control works well though, a really good feature. Only annoying feature I've found so far is the lane assist, which you can't turn off centrally (defaults to active every time you start the car). We often drive to my daughters place which is via a relatively narrow road where at times the white line marks the edge of the road rather than the centre line. With the lane assist activated the system doesn't seem to cope well with this and the steering wheel tugs rather alarmingly, scary the first time if you don't know what it is. I've got into the habit of deactivating this feature each time I start the car, not ideal but it does the trick. My car is sunset red by the way, looks great and the colour really suits it.
