Loss of brake servo

Hi all,
I have a 70 plate Hyundai Tucson 1.6 mhev. I have lost vacuum to the servo, so have no assisted braking. I have pulled the vacuum pipe off the servo but there is no suction when the engine is running. Have raced the vacuum pipe and it appears to disappear into the bottom of the engine block. Anyone know how the vacuum is made as normally on diesels there is a separate pump?
