ROOF RACK WITH BIKES MPG

I've a 23 reg Hybrid Premium 230bhp and thinking of getting a roof rack for 2 bikes.
Has anybody any experience of this who can tell me how it affects the MPG?

Hiya 3puddings.
I took my hybrid ultimate to Southern Italy & back with 100kgs on the roof in total. 4 adults in the car and the car returned about 30 mpg. So quite a difference, but not a shock to me. This car is no fully laden cruiser that's for sure. But considering the total weight & NOT a feather light right foot, I was more than happy with everything else. Technology worked well, the trip overall was very comfy for all.
I can normally get upto 50 mpg easily, so losing upto 15 to 20 mpg may come a shock.

It was, but a dream drive. The car is the best I've ever had.
