My car now has over 3,000 miles. Today I did a journey up the M6 from Coventry and across the M62 to home in Rochdale. No delays, cruise control on and set to 68-70 (depending on traffic I needed to overtake). Overall fuel consumption was 50.5 mpg over 118 miles. That's a lot better than my BMW X3 ever did.

My overall mpg (since day 1) is now 44.0.

My only niggle is the sat-nav which keeps losing the satellites. But I just use Google Maps if that happens.

Picked my new N Line S today. Brand new. 100 miles back home, 95% motorway and 58 mpg at 60 mph. Odd burst here and there to overtake. Very impressed!!

I’m finding the Hybrid’s battery is liking the warmer temperatures. Seeing the little green EV indicator more and more, meaning better and better MPG.

Still cost me nearly £80 to fill it up yesterday though!

I drove up to the Lake District and set cruise at 68mph. I ended up at 48mpg. However, on the way back by comparison, no cruise 70-75mph and 36mpg. Car has covered circa 4000 miles. This was four people and a full boot of 'stuff'. Trip was 180 miles round trip.

Yes, I notice as soon as you go over 70, the fuel consumption increases dramatically.

How long is a piece of string? My last two journeys were in town and the engine never started up. The figures on the cars instruments are almost meaningless because fuel consumption is entirely dependent on speed, length of journey, ambient temperature, how often I choose to charge the traction battery etc. Predicted range typically shows around 400 miles when the tank is filled but its very easy to get a lot more than this or a lot less.

Thanks Roadster, I'm doing about 750 miles a week currently, will be interesting to see what i can get from it when it eventually arrives

If I assume that you can charge every night for 5 nights of the week that will equate to about 150 miles of electrical energy then the remaining 600 would be in hybrid mode which typically gives about 43 to 46 mpg but is very speed dependent. That's my prediction anyway!
