Hi all I thought I would share this with you.
To had CarPlay in My Tiguan it had to be plugged into the usb lead, the same on the Tucson 10" screen.
My wife bought a 21 plate polo and this had wireless CarPlay, which I thought amazing, and a I did a little research and found a device that you just plugged
into the usb and it got the signal first by bluetooth and then permanently by the phone wifi.
So I bought it for my Tiguan and it has worked great until apple update to a new iso ect 14 to 15 that's all you then had to do is update the dongle for it to work.
I kept the dongle when I sold the car and contacted the company to see if it would work in my new Tucson and would I need to reset it or something.
they said no it will work as it did in the Tiguan .
I had the car Thursday first thing I did was plug it in and yes it worked, I looked for new updates and it said I had the latest down loaded and it then asked me what make car and model and year I had connected it to. I then filled it in and saved it and it has connected and work since. it connects in about 25 seconds.
and there are plenty of videos on YouTube to show you how to connect it.
so just to let you know IF you want your Tucson to play wireless CarPlay this does work, sorry I don't know if it works on android.
this is the device I have fitted.
