I own a 2022 Ultimate Hybrid with Tech Pack - in Red (best colour).
Also have two motorcycles. Honda CB1300 and Honda CBF1000 (also red, of course).

Did a 81 mile journey today mainly on M40 and M25. Plenty of start/stop on M25 and restricted speed limits. Hybrid in its element in these conditions. Achieved 55.8 mpg - impressive!

Hi, so had my 230 ultimate hybrid for a couple of weeks. Not loads of milage cause of the weather, mainly pottering around town in eco mode. But I thought I would get a higher mpg than what I am getting. Is there some setting or something else I am missing? I don't have a heavy foot when driving and drive quite smoothly.

My current accumulated mpg is shown below and only getting 31.

The cold weather combined with short trips will mean that much of your driving is not on EV mode. Don't expect miracles. I also do a lot of "pottering around town" and currently I'm getting a similar return. A long drive and/or warmer weather will see an improvement.

This type of issue is reflected on the US forums too, the hybrid doesn't seem to like colder conditions whatsoever. There's also the break in for the engine, which I assume would be delayed by whatever amount the hybrid battery is taking over.

It should hopefully get better particularly when the engine has had a bit more running time and the weather warms up a bit.

One user with the HEV model on here has done over 50k miles in a short timeframe and with lots of motorway trips (over 70mph in the HEV and the mpg drops off quite a bit) and they have averaged 43mpg.

I'm at 43mpg after 7k miles of mixed motoring and this will be my second winter using the car, but as you can see I'm not a high mileage driver.

It's a car of two seasons, great MPG in warm weather and dire in cold. Gone from average of 48/49 to 33/34

SWMBO has a 21 230 ultimate with tech and she is noticing the cold, the engine starts in the garage these days as opposed to EV, my diesel suffers somewhat less of an MPG drop in this colder weather. I suppose these EV batteries all need some preheating to run at fuller capability.

This would probably average out for the mpg they suggested l, even though I'm sure the testing is done on perfect flat roads.
