2022.. surely the year I finally get my new car!!

Had a Hybrid Premium on order since Sept 30th, we were told to expect it by end of Nov. Our dealer has been radio silent the entire time.. so jealous of everyone who have had build dates etc..

Finally got annoyed about the lack of communication in late December so contacted them. They said that the car was on a ship due in just before Xmas day. 3 weeks later the car is apparently still at the dock.

There was a ship in tilbury 21st Dec so likely yours was on this one. Least it's here in the Uk and built. Most of us don't have a clue what stage the car is at

Think they estimate 3-5 weeks delivery time in total so that will be shipping , to checks to delivery to dealer so I'd imagine you've got 2 weeks max more to wait worse case scenario.

That's great news for you. Last update thur 30th for me was 'built within the next 2 weeks'. Just wish they would give you an actual confirmed build week at least. Keep me updated.

So just checked up and my Tuscon N Line S Hybrid shadow grey is at Tilbury Docks and awaiting its certificate of conformity which is this week, then to the dealers.

Hyundai use KESS vehicle carriers. There are 11 in the fleet I think. Recent ones which have been doing the Uk route (Gdańsk to Tilbury) are EMS Highway, Neckar Highway and Main Highway however the last ship into Tilbury was 5th Jan. To track ships /ports you can use vesselfinder.com, marinetraffic.com and myshiptracking.com.

How do you guys know it's at the docks? Is this just information from your dealer?

i.e. My dealer was initially very coy about build/delivery dates, so I am scared to ask for an update from them just in case they tell me there are further delays.

From some of the forums I follow there definitely seems to be a very good supply for Tucson's over in the US and Canada. They get lists of stock available at all dealers as well as what has just been made and what has VINs etc. They also get a priority sequence no so they know what number they are in the build queue. No stupid wait times like in the Uk. Would be interesting to know if the Uk is the worse in terms of wait times or if some other country trumps us there!

Collected our ultimate plug-in yesterday, ordered mid October so a few pushbacks on delivery but definitely better than some others. Noticed there were 3 others waiting for collection when we got ours so clearly a few made it from Tilbury!
