Android Auto voice control

I have a 71 reg Tucson ultimate. The voice control works but I m sure I read that if I have android auto on the voice control works on that. I tried it today…put android auto map on and tried speaking a destination but it switched to the car sat nag. Can voice control operate android auto nav?
