Hi I recently purchased a 2023 Tucson hybrid, as I live in Wales our dear first minister Drakeford decided to reduce our speed limits in build up areas to 20 MPH.
But the speed limit sign on the car is still showing 30 MPH. I’ve tried downloading the the new navigation update, but the car is still showing 30 in a 20 zone. Any advice please

Does your car get much use ? If my car stands for a few days I find that although I live in a 20mph built up residential zone the car will display the limit as 60 mph on start up and usually until it picks up a 30mph sign . If the car is used regularly I don't have the problem so I put my issues down to a lower battery or the car doing energy saving . My car isn't a hybrid .

Not really I use the car everyday. Just been taking to a neighbour he has a Tucson, he said the new MPH isn’t being picked up on google maps, so maybe it hasn’t updated on Hyundai 🤷🏻‍♂️

It takes a while for changes that have been made to mapping, speed limits etc to filter through the system before reaching your car.
To reach your car you have to perform an update, unless you have a benevolent dealer who will do it for free.
The last update for your car was issued last January, so probably too soon to bring the revised speed limits with it. The next update should be imminent, but there's no guarantee that it will incorporate the latest limits.

Never rely on a sat nav for speed limit info, even the highwayvauthorities records are not accurate having to rely on manual changes to their mapping systems once a speed limit order has been sealed.

So, potentially, lots of fun in store, for anyone picking up a new car from 7th July then...

For some reason the speed limit is only showing now and again on the cluster of my 2023 Tucson hybrid is there any way I can get it to show permanently, it shows on the maps.
Thanks in advance

I find that happens occasionally in my car too. I've always assumed it's the something the system doesn't know, but usually when the speed doesn't show in the cluster, it does on the map in the infotainment screen.

I get this a lot.

Also. when driving through 'some' sets of average speed cameras I lose the speed limit Icon from the driver cluster (it remains on the sat screen). In addition, like r0n, I live in a 30mph zone, but on start up it displays 60mph.
