Hello,
I have a 2015 Tucson Premium SE CRDI Auto. Recently the tailgate would not lock, it's an auto lock that locks itself when the door closes. When it gets into the lock position it immediately opens and will not remain closed.
Has anyone had this problem? I have been to the local Hyundai dealership and they are asking £700.00 to replace the lock. I'm wondering if an auto electrician may be able to sort this. Failing that are there any companies that
do Hyundai patent parts as this seems horrendously expensive.
Cheers GHC

Hi GHC,
I take it you have tried to lock the lock with the tailgate open? i use a screw driver to push in the catch?
As for parts, go to a salvage yard or by off eBay from one?
Auto electrian should be able to sort this out if its not mechanical.
