Hi Guys
I've had my Tucson Premium for about 3 weeks now and noticed the skin on my left palm is peeling.
I think I'm allergic to the materials used in the manufacture of the gear knob
Has anyone else suffered from this and is it easy to change the knob for a leather one or similar.
The car is great and very happy with it but could do without 3 years of this if possible
Thanks in advance

You can Xade but not sure if it's appropriate lol
I was hoping not to add to the list of things I must do before driving off
1.Turn on auto handbrake
2.Turn off lane assist
3.Find out what is bleeping for no apparent reason
4.Cover knob with sock

Haha!

It's not one I've heard before, but in my days of driving a nippy Civic Type R I remember someone used to knit them and sell to members of the forum I was part of. It was mainly because of the metal gear knob being freezing in winter and boiling in summer, but you could definitely leave your socks on 24/7.

Not sure there's a specific newer model sock, but there's definitely some generic ones that might help. You could always check Aliexpress too.

Back in the late 50s/early 60s, driving gloves were very popular.......as were stick-on ashtrays on the front quarter-light windows.

You may have seen them worn - the gloves; not the ashtrays - by the likes of Terry Thomas, David Niven, Ian Carmichael or others of that ilk in some of the movies of that time....’School for Scoundrels’ perhaps.

A selection can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/market/1950s_driving_gloves

Dash! ‘Philr' beat me to it.
