Weather incorrect

I noticed last night that the weather on the infotainment screen was incorrect.

Last night it was ~23°, but the weather (app) showed only 15°. I tried updating from the 3 line drop-down, but it made no difference.

This morning it’s 17°, but again the infotainment shows only 15°.

My car is running the June 23 update, so could be related. Has anyone else observed this?

Morning Richard, that information on the info screen is coming via Bluelink right?

The weather service is provided by Vaisala, and that can be manually refreshed. I’d assume it uses Bluelink to make the call

I also noticed it saying 15 on the display on Thursday but haven't personally driven the car since so not sure if it is now correct.

Is this because the infotainment shows the forecast for the day but the dash shows the current temperature as measured by the car? This is obviously less accurate if the car is parked in sunlight, it’s better when you’re actually driving.

I think it defaults to 15c, it's certainly not been 15c round here for weeks..

I now can't even open the app though, just crashes. Granted I am on the beta version of Android 14 which is prone to a few hiccups to say the least.

SWMBO happened to notice this strange error yesterday when she was fiddling with the infotainment screen. I was unable to provide a satisfactory answer to the inevitable question.🙄

Definitely something going on with the 3rd party weather service. It’s 24° where I am this morning

Bluelink app showing the same as the infotainment. The date is also incorrect (19th), so could have been broken for a while.
