Hi All,

Just a quick question regarding the above, is there more than 1 engine type for a 2022 Tucson Ultimate Hybrid? (petrol electric, not plugin)
Looking at cars for sale most seem to be 230kw but one or two are listed as 160, and seem to be a band lower in the VED table.
Also, some are listed as 'Auto' and have the P N D buttons on the console along with paddle shift, and others have the conventional Auto gear stick and no paddles?
which is auto and which is DCT? (I'm guessing buttons for DCT)

Cheers,
Steve

There is the full hybrid (HEV) with 230ps so 226bhp, which is 180ps petrol 1.6 with the electric motor providing the rest. This is the only full hybrid (non plugin) option in the UK. This car is 2WD.

The 265ps plugin is 180ps engine and the electric motor providing the rest. This car is also 4WD.

Both of these derivatives have 6 speed auto with buttons to select gears. They have shift paddles on the steering wheel.

There is then an MHEV version that is not a true hybrid and the batteries just provide electric assistance but do not power the wheels. That can be had with a 7 speed dual clutch (DCT) gearbox which has the traditional auto shifter. It can be had in 2WD and 4WD.

If you go on hyundais website you can usually download a full UK spec list which shows all the options available.

From your post I assume you are looking at a used example due to the models you mention. If its a new car you're looking for, be aware of the small print at the bottom of the tech sheet I have included below as you may be limited as to what can be ordered new.

Things got a bit easier, following Hyundai's decision to stop making some of these options (at least for the UK) ...

When we were looking back in February, the dealer updated the price list in front of our eyes - by drawing big lines through models that are no longer available

This technical specs. sheet confirms that the 48V Mild Hybrids are: "^Available from stock or pipeline only and not available to factory order. Please check with your local Hyundai Retailer for availability"

Which leaves the "1.6T 150PS 6MT", the "1.6T 230PS Hybrid 6AT" and the "1.6T 265PS 4WD Plug-in Hybrid 6AT".
N Line S Hybrid (HEV).
