Evening All
Just to introduce myself as I’m new to the site.
My name is Steve
Got my Tucson April this year
70 plate Premium 230ps hybrid
Booked in for its first 10k service last week (company vehicle) hence the high miles at Stockport Hyundai
All was well texts etc saying all booked in.
However received phone call night before saying unable to perform the service due to lack of parts.
I managed to speak to service manger who informed me parts were not due in until October?
I explained about the warranty and was advised to call Hyundai uk
I spoke with them Friday and have explained they either extend my service mileage to keep the warranty or get me a hire car.
Spoke today and I am still waiting on e reply from warranties.
Bonkers for sure
I will give it a few more days but ultimately they cannot get service parts in.
On another note 2 weeks in rock struck the windscreen and straight away caused a huge crack top to bottom
Guess what no screens in the uk
Waited 12 weeks to get one in the country
And I ended up in a hire car all that time
Bottom line parts are not available
Any thoughts please fire away
Thanks

Blimey that's not good. Did you try hyundai in Manchester for the service?

That sounds concerning. but I imagine many car manufacturers are suffering the same at the moment. It probably doesn't help that this is a brand new model, so there might not be a huge inventory of parts around.

Hi

This Hyundai uk not the dealer that does not have the parts in stock.
Dealer orders parts most dealers are franchised.
Tried getting an answer to day still no joy waiting on warranties to give me the answer
All the time moles are clocking currently 11400
Where they get service every 10k from is bonkers anyway
I’ve worked it out roughly in for service every 3 months for the miles i do
Last Hyundai Tucson premium se diesel 20k service
Company car kept for 4 years 150k on the clock still running like a dream when we got rid of it
If my cards are on the table I honestly cannot see this one doing that kind of mileage without issues I’m afraid
Thanks

Steviej ,how you getting on with the car,Any issues as you seem to be putting on the miles, you probably have more insight than most on reliability niggles and the like. Would be interested in how you find Stockport hyundai as they are closest to myself to deal with.
Found the sales team excellent but couldn't match the price for the Tucson I've ordered.

Hi
Sorry for the massive delay in the reply

Yes I am putting in the miles 49800 to be exact
Issues so far front sensor nightmare only when it’s really been raining in the dry it’s fine ?
Will be in for service again just after Xmas get it sorted then
Plus software update.
Everything else is great so far
Company car we keep for 4 years so mileage when it’s goes 100k plus roughly so that will be interesting

Stockport Hyundai are ok
With going in every 10k for service I now have befriended the service manager ash good guy to be fair
All in all can’t fault it
Cheers

All sound positive post the parts/service issue.

After 50k can I ask what your mpg overall is looking like? Realise it's far from an exact science but just interested.

That's not too bad for mainly motorway mileage, not quite up there with diesel mpg, but comes into its own elsewhere. Thanks for the info.
