Greetings all.

New to the Hyundai range, specifically the new 2021 Tucson Hybrid 230 Premium that I test drove and immediately fell in love with. 'Upgraded' from a mediocre Qashqui that was a bucketload of issues (at 20k miles!). Taking her for a good run to the Isle of Wight this weekend, I've fallen back in love with driving to be honest! :D

Piccys taken on Seahaven East Beach last weekend.

Dfrives very well. I've just come back from a long weekend on the Isle of Wight and had a good chance to give it some motorway, country road and straight line testing. The reviews are pretty close, it does have some silly little lags in gear changes like it's stopping to think what the best gear is to use next when you ask for kickdown or hit and incline and sharp bend at the same time. Paddle shift in the auto eco box is pretty responsive and reverts back to auto after 30 seconds if you don't use it further. In the sports box it remains in semi auto until you switch out back to eco. comfort is superb though, sat nav can be a little quirky and the induction charging for my Note 20 Ultra 5G doesn't charge fast enough to allow the phone to be used for Android Auto navigation at the same time. I got to Portsmouth from Crawley (Gatwick) and the battery was at 40%!

Congrats - looks lovely in that bright red colour.

We've got one in order due at the end of next month and can't wait. We ordered it in Sunset Red colour.

Very nice. I have a white one.

It's going to the garage this week though. The soft top on the dashboard is wavy and the door trims are out of alignment with the dashboard. Also a rattle in the door.

Cheers. Yes the colour is pretty striking.

I'm still quite shocked at how much power it has, deffo no slouch on takeoff and getting up to cruising speed. The auto distancing and steering correction are a little jerky on anything but motorways really.

Thanks. Shame they couldn't get those items right but saying that the driver's door handle on mine has dropped out of alignment very slightly. I must check that and get it sorted.

I was going to live with it, but it started to annoy me. I am annoyed I never spotted it when I picked it up.

Sorry to hear that, What do you mean by the soft top on the dashboard being 'wavy'?

I need to make a list of things to check before I pick mine up!

The top of the dashboard is soft material that sits under a piece of hard plastic. On the drivers side it is smooth, but on the passenger side it has not been fitted correctly, so it dips.

On the photo it does not look to bad, but when seen with the rest of the fitting it is obvious.
