Hi

I’m a new member.
took delivery of my Tucson Ultimate Hybrid 3 weeks ago, all good so far apart from the Sat Nav, in my previous car, Hyundai Kona, I only every used android auto for the sat nav as it looked better than the factory one, with the Tucson as android auto only uses a portion of the screen I’ve been using the built in nav as it’s full screen, the issue I’m having is whether a route is inputted or not after 15 to 20 Minutes the car icon spins around and around, if using guidance it tells me to refer to the road, this will continue until the engine is turned off and the vehicle locked, occasionally, this happened today I left the vehicle parked for an hour on restarted the icon was doing the same after driving for 15 minutes it reset its self. Any one else experienced this issue.

To add when this happens it also affects Google maps on android auto.

Many thanks

Hi

Thought I’d post an update regarding the Sat Nav.

I’ve spent many hours trying to nail down the issue, for the past few days I’ve used the sat nav without connecting my phone to the USB port and relied on Bluetooth for streaming audio.
Today I reconnected the phone via usb and low & behold after 15 minutes the sat nav went bonkers again, unplugged phone within 2 minutes all working fine.
As I said in my first post I exclusively used android auto on my previous car a Kona without any issues for 2 years.
The only difference between the Kona & the Tucson is I had purchased a new usb A to C cable as my previous one was looking a little tatty, now what’s interesting is I swapped the new cable for the old cable to try and narrow the problem down even further, sat nav works perfectly with the old cable, so it would appear that the cable has been the cause of the problem, there is a slight difference between the 2 cables though the old one is usb 2 spec & the new one is usb 3.1 spec.

Apologies if this post has been a bit long winded but hopefully it’ll help others.
