Stalling issue

Has anyone had an issue with stalling - 2018 plate SE NAV
I bought a Tucson yesterday and when slowing down and moving down gears to stop the car seems to give up like the clutch goes very limp and you can’t go into 1st gear it then stalls but not everytime . Also if you try and pull away in 1st it sometimes does the same thing . But when it does this its not like my older car I have where you jerk and stall it’s like the car just switches off and goes to sleep?
Anyone else know of this issue or have a bought a bad one .
