N/s Mirror Removal

Has anyone removed the N/s wing mirror on a 2022 MK 4 Premium model?
Do you have to take the door pad off?

Go to club.autodoc.co.uk where there are tutorials for removal and replacement of door mirrors.
There is facility to enter your type of car.
