Re: Question about hybrid push button auto gearbox
The EPB only engages when selecting "park" if you have "autohold" on, This caught me out at first when the car started to move in "drive" as I took my foot off the brake. Of course you don't need to hear the parking brake come on as there is a red "P" symbol i...

Re: Auto Hold and Sat Nav questions
I prefer the creep function unless in congested traffic. I find that the creep function will still work with Auto Hold engaged as long as I'm gentle on the brakes when slowing down or stopping. Interesting you say that old man. According to an article I read a couple of months ago (don't know which...

Re: 2022.. surely the year I finally get my new car!!
Finally picked up my Ultimate HEV shimmering silver with side-steps today, so I thought I'd do the usual and share some pics... 20220404_171348~3.jpg 20220404_171256~3.jpg Had a good feel for it with a 140-mile trip back from the dealer on the Motorway, but can't wait to take it for a bit more in-t...

Re: Auto Hold and Sat Nav questions
[quoteSo if it were to be auto on it would be an annoyance to me] I fail to understand that logic. On my two previous cars that had auto hold, once it was switched on it stayed on until I switched it off. (which was never). When coming to a halt for whatever reason, the auto hold would hold the car...

Re: How to get a discount
Wychwood, thanks for that info, the first dealer we went to said we had to wait 3 months before paying it off to get the £2250 discount! Thankfully I saw your post and did it today on the 14th day too! 😂 👍 Reason dealers say 3 months is that they don't get their commission if the third monthly paym...

Re: Auto Hold and Sat Nav questions
Personally I don't use autohold except in traffic queues. So if it were to be auto on it would be an annoyance to me. Maybe they could just have it restore last setting on startup.

Re: Why does my new Tucson forget settings?
I noticed when I started the car this morning that I had a notice that the Privacy Terms had been updated. As they were several pages long I accepted them but then noticed that the computer for "since refuelling" had reset. Also the central cluster display had changed. Apart from that I l...

Re: True MPG Phev
the cost of the electricity which can cost you about the same per mile as fuel. I don't know what you based that on, but my calculations yield the following: Petrol 13.9p per mile (based on fuel costing 158.9 and achieving 52mpg) To get the equivalent cost in electric mode you'd need to be paying 3...

Re: True MPG Phev
Back to MPG. I was told, when I went to look at the two hybrid types (self charging and PHEV), that, on a long journey, the PHEV would get around 32mpg as it wsa lugging all those batteries. The Hybrid would get around 42 on the same journey. My display shows that I can get over 450 miles on a tank...
