Don't really get this complaint about active lane assist. I don't find it dangerous at all as it is only a little nudge .
I know the autohold is a preference but again I only use it when in stop start traffic, much prefer the car in creep mode.
Sometimes it is just what you are used to.

Re: How to get a discount
I have never bought a new car (I've bought many) without a discount of 18 - 20%. One Mercedes was 28%. Try everything such as Carwow, internet dealers, car brokers, trade suppliers etc. Never take the offer at first. Even Carwow prices from dealers can be pushed further.

Re: New Hybrid MPG
I'm not getting the same results. Overall I have got 46.8mpg. From pickup of car in Wakefield onto M1 and off at Worksop (mostly 70mph) it showed 52mpg. Only done one other motorway journey on the M180 (very flat) and again got over 50mpg. I find that if you accellerate up to just over 70mph and the...

Re: Self charging EV only range?
Some widely varying figures here, I only ever get 42-43 mpg the wife too and she drives like a snail!!! Don't think it is particularly about slow driving. I find even if you accellerate quickly but then ease off to attain EV mode the car will still return 45 plus. In fact if you do use the car quic...

Re: Fuel consumption accuracy
Here is an interesting test of PHEV consumption. Today I took a journey of 45 miles each way. Very close to identical condition and the same route in both directions. It included about 30 miles of motorway each way but because of extra speed limits and traffic conditions most of the motorway miles ...

Re: Self charging EV only range?
That’s my thoughts too It’s use is for quick power boost on accelerating and for stop start traffic or parking only. Dealer tried to say it could do about 12 miles on electric only? Nor strictly true. You describe a mild hybrid there. I can drive around 2 miles on EV even at relatively high speeds.

Re: Question about hybrid push button auto gearbox
I'm new to these gearboxes but in the old school auto boxes you would use neutral when stopped in traffic with either your foot on the brake or handbrake on, if you stay in drive when stopped the car is still trying to drive but you are holding it back on the brake, this is not good fir the gearbox...

Re: Fuel consumption accuracy
The plug in is showing an overall figure of 51 to 52 mpg at the moment but without taking account of the electricity consumed. To be useful there would have to be a record of miles per KW.Hour or to be scientific Miles per Joule assuming we are still not comfortable measuring distance in Kilometres...
