Re: Annual Service Cost?
It is not a requirement by law for you to get your car serviced by a main dealer to keep your warranty intact. As long as your car is serviced following the service schedule using genuine parts by a vat registered garage then your warranty is valid, and this is by law no matter what the main dealer...

Re: Strange incidence of all indicators flashing
Possible explanation, went out in car this morning and for the first time since late last year it had done the reset of settings thing. Maybe hazards flash when this occurs? Just by chance my wife spotted it. No logical reason for the reset as in use daily. I certainly couldn't argue with that, the...

Re: Strange incidence of all indicators flashing
I've had very similar, alarm was sounding periodically. I had to disable the alarm in settings.
Next day I discovered a very small fly in the car, which was the culprit.
Unlike you, I did get Blue link notifications though.

Re: Dashcam Recommendations
I hope Azdome have upped their game since I bought mine, which was a different model to yours Hyun-day. If used on a daily basis it worked fine, but if left for much longer the unit would lose the date and the method of changing parameters via buttons refused to work most of the time. Very hit and m...

Re: Windscreen wipers
On a side note, anyone else getting annoyed with the backsweep 'sticky' noise when raining from the wipers? Wipers are still same from factory, but only 3500 miles on the clock. Any recommendations from those who use rubber cleaners that prevent squeegee squeaks? In get that on occasion, usually wh...

Re: Windscreen wipers
It's always helpful if you state the year and model of your car. That aside, it's unlikely anything to do with the car and the glass. I've had days on long journeys where the windscreen gets plastered with bugs whose blood appears to be glue. I have a 3 function ice scraper in my car that I've had f...

Re: First minor prang in Tucson
Aha, I'd forgotten you'd bought the low rent version with plastic bumpers  Joking aside, In my limited experience with abrasion on a plastic bumper. If what we see there is paint from the other vehicle, then removing it with some sort of cleaner and applying Back To Black should sort it out. If...

Re: First minor prang in Tucson
I had a very similar incident with a new Kodiaq at the Chunnel in 2018. Bumper panel popped out and was easily popped back. Rear reflector was cracked and a small amount of paint was scraped off, which showed up black on my white car. Took it to a local bodyshop who rubbed down the scrape and respra...

Re: Front offside intermittent noise.
How do mild hybrids work? As the name suggests, a mild hybrid system offers only gentle electrical assistance to the engine – not enough for the car to drive on electric power alone. The systems work in slightly different ways from brand to brand, but in general, they assist the engine under hard ac...
