Re: New Tucson GPF light on

It's a Gasoline Particulate Filter, so if you have a petrol engine, which a PHEV does, logic dictates it can affect those too. However, if you do a lot of electric only mileage, then it's going to take longer to affect a PHEV. I was told that GPFs would be much less prone to clogging than a DPFs, so...

Re: EU Map update back on line

Thanks. I'll try my first download and look out for it. Download and transference to flash drive complete. Haven't got my car yet so I can't say how easy or not that bit will be, but so far it's been a doddle and far easier and quicker than the VAG system. The system even formatts the flash drive f...

terryp wrote: Thu Feb 03, 2022 11:48 am Does the updated map cover Europe? I'm planning a trip to Spain and Portugal (Covid) permitting, so I would need this feature.
I'm currently downloading maps using the link given earlier. Follow the instructions and you get an option of which area you want to download, of which, one is Europe.

Re: Spare Wheel ?

Nope. No car to try it in Me neither, but mine should be here in the next two weeks if one believes the salesman. I've seen Road Hero advertised, but I don't need a jack and wheelbrace, plus I'll be looking for a proper sized tyre (not spacesaver) as I have in my current car - if one will fit. It's...

Re: Compatible Steering wheel lock for new Tuscon?

[quoteIdeally, I'd like to turn keyless off, but that's not an option with Hyundai cars.][/quote] That's interesting. I haven't got my car yet so I can't test this, but I could do it on my previous Skoda. Normally manufacturers follow each other with this type of thing. Also, some manufacturers now ...

Re: Compatible Steering wheel lock for new Tuscon?

I'm a little late to this party, but your new car also has keyless entry, so why not buy a Faraday bag to keep your keys fobs in ? That way keyless entry theft won't work. A Faraday bag is a much cheaper option than a steering wheel lock and if your car has been targeted for theft and the thieves co...

Re: Thoughts on model

Whilst I would have liked the electric memory seat that comes with the Ultimate, I chose an N Line because it doesn't come with black plastic cladding on the wheel arches and sills that all other models have. I had a 2015 Santa Fe with similar cladding and it was a sod to keep it looking pristine. E...

Re: Roof bars

Glad I had a look at this forum and this thread. I have a new N Line S on its way, so a sunroof is standard. I have roof bars on my car permanently to carry boats and I hadn't considered the fact that a sunroof might foul them, I am currently having the dilemma of ordering a new Thule footpack and f...
