Re: Emovis Toll Tag

I had the same problem as I was preparing my car to drive to Spain and Portugal. Hyundai dealer and National Windscreens didn't have the answer so eventually I contacted Hyundai technical and got this reply. "I can confirm none of our Hyundai vehicles have either athermic or heated glass, so t...

Re: The proper way to drive the automatic?

If with autohold is disengaging also the gear then i assume that this not affecting in any way the car. FYI - the 6AT hybrid drivetrain contains neither a torque converter, nor a conventional clutch. The clutch it has, is never "slipped"; it's either fully engaged or fully disengaged. It'...

Re: The proper way to drive the automatic?

With the caveat that this is my first automatic car so I am not an expert... Reflecting on how my wife and I have driven the car over the past year with no negative consequences: 1. This procedure is what we do and it has been fine. No need to shift to N each time. I don't know if the car shifts out...

Re: Cold weather mpg in Hybrid 230

The mpg does plummet in cold weather. One way to delay the petrol engine starting and improve fuel consumption is, if you have them, to use the electric seat heaters rather than the fan heating and air con to warm yourself up.

Re: Fuel Filler Flap not sitting flush

The garage fixed and told me that Hyundai are about to issue a recall. The issue is that the filler is an inch too long, and over time it pushes the filler cap assembly proud of the bodywork. Thanks for this, Sark. My car had the same issue and it was 'fixed' at its first service on Friday. What wi...

Re: Tuscon facelift 2024 pics

Interesting facelift. When I read the first articles online about it, my initial response was that I prefer the original exterior - the new driving lights look rubbish compared to the old ones - but that the interior would be better, mainly because of the physical controls for the HVAC. After a clos...

Re: Hybrid question: total EV running time

The 'EV' light appears gratifyingly often. Technically, the "EV" light means that the clutch is disengaged (this info from some Kia enthusiasts who paid for access to the online manual). It is possible for the ICE to be running and the "EV" light be on (with the electric motor o...

Snow chains on a 2022 Tucson

Has anyone fitted and driven their latest model Tucson with snow chains? If so, I would be interested to hear your experience and any advice.

We are considering driving to the Alps this winter and our car has 235/19 50 tyres (I think...).

Hybrid question: total EV running time

We've had our hybrid Tucson since December. The 'EV' light appears gratifyingly often. I'd be interested to know if there is any way of finding out the percentage of total driving time (since new) that it has been running on the electric motor only. Is that possible? I cannot find anything in the in...
