2 Months & 2,000 Miles

Hi all, I thought I'd share an update with you on my first couple of months living with my Tucson. I have a 12,000 mile p/a limit (48,000 over 4 years) and glad I paid for that given the mileage I've racked up already! Spec: Premium Engine: 1.6 Petrol (non-hybrid) Colour: Dark Knight Grey The Good: ...

Re: Shimmering Silver

No pictures, but how about this?

I saw an N Line S in shimmering silver at the dealership and thought it looked really smart.

Interior Cleaning

Hi all,

Any tips on cleaning the interior? Predominantly talking about the dash here.

I knew it would be a total dust magnetic but any useful tips on things you've tried or would avoid?

Cheers

Re: Widescreen for Android Auto

Fingers crossed! I'm kind of used to the AA logo taking up a chunk of the screen but it'll be a bonus if they manage to change that. The end goal would be wireless AA!

Re: Life with a manual, non-hybrid Tucson

Great post. I also have the non-hybrid and manual Premium spec and agree with all of the above. I'm around 900 miles in, somehow, despite only having the car for three weeks - good job I have 12k miles p/a on the lease! How is your fuel consumption looking? I get to around 40mpg on longer journeys b...

Re: High pitched noise on exiting vehicle

Ah, thanks all, glad it's not just mine that does it. Yes, it makes sense it would be something winding down. Just one of many noises the car makes, still not used to all the bings and bongs! I had a collision warning yesterday (cars parked on both sides of the road so think the car panicked) but t...

Re: N Line S mats

My dealer said mats were out of stock, so I've had to order OEM ones myself for £40! I'm on lease deal though so I imagine the mats would be thrown in for a cash or PCP buyer.

Re: High pitched noise on exiting vehicle

Happens on mine. No idea what it is, but it doesn't concern me too much if it's happening to other people too!

Re: Lane keeping assistance - can it be turned off permanently?

Yes I agree on the lane assist, I can't stand it. Had my Premium for a week now and it's frustrating having to remember to switch it off in the settings menu each time. Fingers crossed for a software update on that front. I find it bizarre that you can create driver profiles but it won't store these...
