Re: EV not working 1.6 TGDi 48V MHD N Line

It's normal for the MHEV, others report the same behaviour, see this thread

TLDR: Best MPG achieved in Normal mode.

ECO: Saves battery for coasting/sailing
Sport: Saves battery for heavy acceleration
Normal: Best of both?!

Re: New owners hello

Yes and probably those instructions were copy/pasted from older manuals with no thought to how this car might differ. There is another bit where it warns you not too sit in neutral with your hybrid vehicle turned on as it won't be able to charge the battery. That advice makes no sense for the drive ...

Re: 2021 Tuscon Petrol Flap Not opening

Somebody here had the lock on the fuel flap get out of sync with the door locks so that when the doors were unlocked the fuel flap was locked and vice-versa. So try opening it after locking the doors. And then unlock the car while the flap is open to try and get them back in sync

Re: Auto Tranmission selection buttons

When you take that apart you might find a PCB with the microswitches soldered in place

Re: Auto Tranmission selection buttons

Actually P-R-N-D as you move the shifter towards you is a very common layout, probably the most common

Re: Sat nav POI,s

Do the prices still show if you go to the main menu and choose "Hyundai Live" --> "Live Fuel". That usually gives stations as a list and you can select Near Me, On Route or Near Destination.

I've never used the prices via the Satnav POI but I have used the above method

Re: Boot space

On UK models, the pure petrol and full hybrid you can lower the boot floor without removing polystyrene insert. But the mild hybrid has a 48v battery underneath and the PHEV has a 12v battery in there, both of which prevent lowering the boot floor

Re: Brand new tuscon 15 days old wont open!

Curiously, for some reason I haven’t unearthed yet, a short foray into SPORT mode seems to allow greater charge into the 12v battery - the reading on the little scale goes up towards the max charge while never varying far from the 50% mark while in ECO mode. The battery gauge on the instrument clus...

Re: Tuscon Premium '22 Plate Self Charing Hybrid Query

This was the topic where the drive mode of the MHEV was discussed. It was actually Normal mode that returned the better MPG

Re: Tuscon Premium '22 Plate Self Charing Hybrid Query

I think you must have the mild hybrid, judging by the fact you don't have the battery meter and you have the current gear shown on the dash next to "D" - don't get that shown on the full hybrid model. In the mild hybrid the battery is mostly used to enable the engine to shut down for longe...
