Re: Poor Quality Wipers

Mine were exactly the same, rubbish quality. Replaced with Bosch Aerotwins. First time I ever had to replace blades in a new car under 3 years old. Same here. At least the replacement Bosch Aerotwin blades have the added advantage of operating quietly, with no nasty "thunk" at the top of ...

Re: Engine over-revving when dropping out of hybrid battery use

the ICE suddenly started to exhibit gross over-revving due to operating in a lower than normal gear Gross over-revving is not possible in this vehicle - it has a computer-controlled automatic gearbox! If you think you can do better than Hyundai's Automotive & Software Engineers, put the car in ...

Re: Engine over-revving when dropping out of hybrid battery use

I wanted to add my own recent, similar experience - Hyundai Tucson PHEV Premium, 21 plate with 20,000 miles on clock. This issue has occurred twice now, in both cases while making long-ish journeys in Hybrid (HEV) engine mode. First time the EV battery was nearly fully charged; second time the EV ba...

Thanks for the tip - I'll try some oil.

Thanks for your input. Perhaps the dashboard button is restricted to PHEV models.

Fuel filler cap - sticking

Hi. On a recent visit to the petrol station I tried the dashboard fuel flap button about 10 times without success. I was nearly ready to give up when it popped open on the next button press. I know the manual warns about a wait of up to 20 seconds for fuel pressure release but my experience suggests...

Re: MPG

Thanks for detailed post it answered a lot of questions I had. I also live in Northumberland and I am waiting for my Tucson Phev! I would be interested to hear about the typical mpg you get. Has it dropped a lot with the cold weather and the need for ICE to run? I plan to use mine to commute to wor...

Re: MPG

Hi. I'm the owner of a Tucson PHEV in Premium trim: ordered in March 2021 and delivered in late June. Generally I'm very satisfied with the vehicle and happy with my choice. Being retired and living in rural Northumberland, a PHEV was attractive as a way of combining EV mode for local trips (typical...
