Went to look at the BYD showroom last weekend as was really impressed with the Atto3.
Build quality was surprisingly good so i think right now that would be near the top of my list.

Re: Granny charger query
I also use a smart socket for timed charging (not tapo) which works really nicely. The datasheet says it's not suitable for EV charging but also says it's 13a rated and never gets hot. I suspect it's just ass covering. The Hyundai scheduler is unreliable, timed socket is the way to go unless you hav...

Re: Noisy Windscreen Wipers - Resolved I think
My car is almost 2.5 years old and done almost 20k miles on the original wiper blades and they still clear great, apart from the drivers one has started to squeal when at the top of the wipe annoying when in use, so looks like time to replace once this cold snap is over, I will get a price for OE a...

Re: Charging management PHEV
It depends on the capacity of the 'charger' (wall box)
A granny lead is 10a and normal 'chargers' 16a or 32a. The settings in the car allow you to choose 100% 90% or 60% of the capacity of whatever you plug into.

Re: Phev battery charging socket button & lights
As above, but pressing the button overrides a scheduled charge.
For example if you have a home charger and setup the car to charge 01:00-04:00 but stopped at a cafe one lunchtime and plugged in, the car will be waiting for 01:00 to start charging. Press the button and it will start immediately

Re: Second service OIL!
Had my car serviced by Hyundai Swindon (Pebley Beach). They used the correct grade of 0w20 but overfilled way over the maximum on the dipstick.
I ended up sucking out 500ml to get it back down to the F mark.
They also left the radiator fan disconnected.
