Re: Battery capacity of Plug-in

My 13amp "charger" allows the charging rate to be adjusted 6, 8 or 10 amps. I normally charge at 8 amps up to when it switches off (100%).

Re: Battery capacity of Plug-in

I only use the 13amp home set up and has been said is not a charger. If you remove the trunk floor so that you can touch the AC-DC converter (next to the battery) see how hot it gets when home charging. If I charge at the maximum 10amps mine gets almost too hot to touch, hence why all the empty spac...

Re: Fuel filler cap - sticking

I have the PHEV and found the flap was sticking when new, a few drops of oil around the plastic locking mechanism did the trick. You cannot open the flap whilst the PHEV is charging.

Re: Blue Link App

I have the PHEV with tech pack and have both Bluelink apps for android phone. Both apps are slightly different although they are both for Europe. They only give remote commands to open/lock doors and start/stop charging with an option to schedule charging. They will allow many areas to monitor and k...

Re: Driving Modes

Hi I have the PHEV so this is how mine operates EV Mode - Only uses the battery but starts the ICE if demanded by the heater or to charge the 12v battery in the boot. With the heater off ( but with heated seats and steering wheel on to keep me warm) it operates in EV until the main battery is discha...

Re: 2021 Tucson key size

You might just get away with it. The advert says "It's also lined with fine imitation sued" so it might compress enough to fit the key. I measured again and it is somewhere between 83 and 84mm in length. I just us a small metal container to keep the key (2 Keys) if I leave my car on the dr...

Re: Bulbs, Sat Nat, Side Step

Hi Dave I have a 2016 Tucson and fitted Hyundai side steps from https://www.caraccessoriesplus.co.uk/product/hyundai-tucson-side-steps-sport/HD3875AB000. They look very smart and I fitted them myself, my wife likes them as it's easier for her to get in and out. They also stop mud splashing up on the...

Re: Charging while plugged in

I have the Tucson with the Tech pack option. I can start the car from the key fob and move the car forward and backwords with control from the fob and doors locked. It moves powered as an EV. Not sure, if I leave the car with the ac turned to heat, whether it will run the ice to provide heat when st...
