This week I discovered that it is possible to remotely lock doors from Bluelink with the key fob inside the car.
It ddi not cause a problem for me but I could envisage a situation where this could become a real nightmare.

Re: Boot auto opening
Yes it's the Ultimate and it's not to do with standing at the rear to open.
This is happening because the button is being press whilst in my pocket, I just wondered if there was any option to reduce range or sensitivity.
many thanks.

Boot auto opening
Can I adjust the sensitivity of the power boot button on remote key fob.
On two occasions now I have found my boot open, I must have pressed the button whilst it was in my pocket.
Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity or range of the key fob.

Re: Luggage compartment power outlet
My Tucson is 2022 HEV Ultimate and I can confirm the boot power outlet is ignition controlled. The power shuts down when ignition is Off, I power my dashcam from it. I'm far from certain but I suspect this model ( i.e. not the plug-in) has a lithium 12 volt supply with independent battery managemen...

Re: luxury vehicle tax
Luxury car tax is charged on the P11D charge for that vehicle, so even if you order your new car at a price below £40,000 and there is then a price increase to take the price above £40,000 you will then need to pay the higher VED. So you CAN end up paying the highe rate even if you actually pay belo...

Re: Rising electricity prices
Is that really progress?
Coming home late at night, pouring rain you're tired wet and just want to go to bed and yet you need to stand out in the weather and hook you high tec EV into your external charging point.
How progressive is that?

Re: Rising electricity prices
There seems to be very little conversation around the tax implications of Electric vehicles. I really cannot see the EV taking off, in a big, way for some good time yet; apart from all the logistical and infrastructure challenges the tax ramifications are enormous. Domestic electricity is currently ...

Re: Dash cam wiring
Not a lot to see really. The wiring appears out of the head lining, at front, and simply drops down onto camera. At the A pillar there is nothing at all to see, as all the wiring tucks beneath the rubber door seals with no problems. At the rear the camera is stuck with double sided tape onto plastic...

Re: Dash cam wiring
The cable is all tucked away and out of sight. I plugged a home made extension from the boot cigar lighter to under the front passenger seat, from here I plugged in my Dashcam power adapter and fed the cable around the door trims, up the A pillar and along front of haed lining, to exit at side of re...
