Re: Noisy Windscreen Wipers - Resolved I think
My car is almost 2.5 years old and done almost 20k miles on the original wiper blades and they still clear great, apart from the drivers one has started to squeal when at the top of the wipe annoying when in use, so looks like time to replace once this cold snap is over, I will get a price for OE an...

Coolant recall change
My HEV has just had its second service all went well everything as it should be. Apart from a recall for a Coolant system flush and fluid replacement, I was informed the original fluid had been found to deteriorate over time and not do what it should. I was given an Owners Manual Supplement as well,...

Re: 12v maintenance charging
There is an earlier post on here about this and leaving car at airport whilst away, flat battery on return and using the 12v reset button does the trick by jumping from the traction battery to the 12v

Re: Spare Wheel ?
If the dealers are saying there is no spare wheel to have, can you buy a jack & wheel brace that is Hyundai or just any old jack & brace will do, is there a designated jacking point to use. If you have your car serviced at Hyundai you get another years breakdown cover, but who do they use, h...

Re: Spare Wheel ?
As the car doesn't come with a spare wheel does that mean it is like fitting a towbar you need to notify your insurance company as it is an added extra, especially if it is not a genuine Hyundai part

2nd service
When I had my first service done it was a pick a time slot bring car in and wait whilst it was done about 2 hours, enough time for egg and bacon in the cafe round the corner.
Has anyone had a 2nd service and is that same or do they keep it longer to do more ??

Re: New member ..
I don't think it is just newer cars my stepdad had a 17 reg i10 that did short journeys and that suffered GPF and dealers advice was go give it some stick down the motorway for 20 minutes that should do the trick and it did, so every month he would do a 20 minute 70 mph run down the motorway

Re: What would you change on the Tucson?
I agree with XADE diesel always gives a good return on mpg compared to petrol my wife's car is 2ltr diesel returning 50+ mpg.
But compare petrol against Hybrid at 45+ mpg and that is not a bad return, my last car similar size to a Tucson was a 1.6 petrol and returned 30/35 mpg.
