Re: A brief plea to all site users

Thankyou Indalo1 and you're not wrong. I have good reason for not including my details (although the model I drive has been mentioned several times by me) and I have PM'd terryp to explain. The reason I would like people to also state their whereabouts comes mainly from a Skoda forum when people abr...

Yes you said it was an Ultimate, but that doesn't indicate whether it's a HEV or a PHEV.
I assume you have the HEV, but what do you mean by the dreaded Hybrid system issue ?

Re: A brief plea to all site users

Whilst I wholeheartedly agree I think it's unlikely that people who've been unable to spell properly all of their lives are all of a sudden going to get it right now. My bugbears include; Those who can't say a please or a thankyou for responses to their questions, those who don't provide fee...

Re: tyre choices

Just to add an observation: I have paid some attention to these tyre tests in the past, more for roadholding and stopping distances than anything else, but I've also paid attention to road noise readings too. How much difference do those noise readings make in the real world though ? I have the orig...

Re: Upgrade from hev to phev

I can't really help with your choice, except to say that I studiously avoided plug in models when choosing my HEV. I'm happy with my fuel consumption and I don' t believe the inflated consumption figures provided by manufacturers and some owners. Don't forget that electricity still has to be paid fo...

Re: Petrol car regen - all you need to know 🤔

Does switching to Sport mode make make the car hold onto whichever gear you've got the paddles to select ? Yes. (Unless you reach the red line, or they fall below some preset lower limit (1500rpm?), in which case, it will change gear itself. It still doesn't revert to "D" though.) Thankyo...

Re: Petrol car regen - all you need to know 🤔

Perhaps this will simplify things. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPCH4goM4Qk I've seen that before and yes, it does simplify the method of clearing the light. Here's my next question though. I almost always drive in ECO mode, in which when using the paddles to change gear, the car very soon rever...

Re: Petrol car regen - all you need to know 🤔

My feeble brain cannot assimilate all of that info and I gave up after the first few lines. I like incoming info boiled down to relevant points that I can understand, however. I could be wrong, but reading the first lines indicated that the article referred to the GDI petrol engine in general, which...

Re: Gear change indicator

I see you've asked this question before and had no answers to affect a fix. Something to try is performing a reset of the infotainment system. This won't disable the gear indicator, but it might make it work properly. I don't know where the reset is in your model, so I lifted this from the internet,...
