Re: Alarm system

The internal alarm is a bit of a pain to be honest, there is a setting in the setup to disarm it but that setting only applies to that lock cycle i.e. it is re-activated once the vehicle has been unlocked then locked again. There have been suggestions on here to cover the sensors to disable the alar...

There is of course the dashboard light that displays "EV" when in EV mode :) :)

Re: Owners Manual

I would have thought that any phone with wireless charging will work. I can only confirm that my iPhone 12 charges ok, I think all iPhones from the 8 onwards support wireless charging. I have no experience with others.

You haven't left the windows or sunroof open have you? any, even minor, internal movement seems to trigger an alarm.

Re: Hybrid 12v Battery Anxiety

I wonder why that would only be the case for the ultimate. If that is correct, then does the petrol engine not have an alternator? If it does then it should be able to charge the battery too I guess that as it is a self-charging hybrid, there is no need for an alternator, it makes no real sense to ...

Re: Hybrid 12v Battery Anxiety

If I have understood the manual correctly, this may have something to do with the fact that the ultimate hybrid does not have a separate 12 volt battery but uses a portion of the main traction batteries for the 12 volt electrics so maybe it, like most computer based things these days, needs a re-boo...

Which Fuses did you tap onto? I need continuous supply and switched as I have parking guard.
Thanks Andy
Hi Andy

I used the sunroof fuse for the switched supply, not bothered about a continuous supply as the Nextbase internal battery is claimed to do that.

Re: LED rear indicator bulbs that fit new Tucson NX4

I've not seen any replacements/upgrades but I wholly agree that the use of incandescent lamps is somewhat outdated, this, coupled with the need to dismantle the rear inner arch to change a bulb is a bit off.

Re: Just ordered a Tucson Ultimate plug-in hybrid

If you re having to get a socket sorted why not just get the electrician to run the 30amp cabling that you will need for the charge point?
